FRP Radome Custom Design

The Challenge

A regional telecom operator in Southeast Asia was rolling out a dense 5G network requiring 120+ base stations across coastal and inland terrain. Their existing metal radomes corroded within 18 months due to high humidity and salt air, causing costly maintenance and signal loss.

Our Solution

YASHENG FRP engineered custom S-band radome shells (Ø1.2m) using vacuum-infusion GFRP with marine-grade gel coat. Anti-UV surface treatment and integrated mounting brackets were designed to retrofit existing tower infrastructure without modification.

USV Hull R&D Prototype

The Challenge

A European oceanographic research institute needed a fleet of 6 semi-autonomous USVs for multi-month ocean survey missions. Their aluminum hulls suffered from galvanic corrosion and were too heavy for long-endurance deployments. They needed a partner who could prototype fast and scale to production.

Our Solution

We designed a 3.5m surfboard-style hull using vinyl ester resin with divinycell foam core — achieving 35% weight reduction over aluminum. EMI-transparent construction preserved onboard radar and GNSS accuracy. Full CFD simulation and sea-trial validation were included before production.

The Challenge

A North American industrial automation company deployed 500+ environmental monitoring stations across agricultural zones. Their previous metal enclosures rusted within 2 years. They needed a lightweight, fully-sealed, and remotely-monitorable enclosure — with custom cutouts for 12 sensor ports and solar panel mounting.

Our Solution

YASHENG FRP produced IP67-rated FRP enclosures with pre-molded cable glands, pressure-equalization valves, and integrated DIN-rail mounts. Each unit was tested for water ingress at 1m depth for 30 minutes before shipment. Custom color matching to their brand specification was done via in-mold pigmentation.

The Challenge

A US-based EV startup was developing a light utility vehicle targeting emerging markets. Their aluminum battery enclosure was too heavy, too expensive at scale, and prone to corrosion in tropical climates. They needed a CFRP alternative that could pass UNECE R100 crash safety requirements and be producible at 2,000 units/year.

Our Solution

YASHENG FRP developed a high-volume SMC compression molded battery tray using flame-retardant epoxy prepreg. The design integrated crash-energy-absorption zones and threaded aluminum inserts for pack mounting. We provided full FEM structural analysis, DIN rail integration, and passed IEC 62660 thermal abuse testing on the first prototype batch.
